Using RFID technology embedded into iRacks, racks become a valuable part of the information chain about samples.
One of the most used items at a lab are racks. Then its use may well be put into service for adding value to the lab work. Information about position and a timestamp are stored into the RFID tag. When an iRack is placed into Indexor the system instantly reads the RFID tag and the user immediately can identify where samples are. All that information is automatically and instantly uploaded and a query is performed to ask the LIS about worklists and testing for each sample.
